Call for Papers

The international conference held at  SEAMEO Regional Training Center, Vietnam, is intended to be practical and beneficial to practicing English teachers of all levels in Vietnam and the region.

The theme of the conference is “Innovations in Language Teaching and Learning".

We now invite English language teachers and those who work in the field of English Language Teaching to participate in and present their paper at the conference.

Subtopics

• New ways of teaching language skills.
• New ways of teaching grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
• New ways of assessing EFL learners.
• New ways of teaching young learners.
• New ways of using technology in language teaching.
• Action research in language teaching.

Types of Presentations

• Keynote/plenary/featured presentations: 40 minutes each (By special invitation only).
• Research Papers: 30-minute presentations.
• Workshops/Colloquiums: 50 minutes each.

Abstract and paper submission

The Organizing Committee is inviting the submission of abstracts and papers including the brief biographies of the writers/authors by the deadline indicated below. Content of the paper should be related to the theme or any sub-themes of the conference.

Guidelines for Papers

Papers should include a title, author’s names and affiliations of all authors. We also require a postal address, telephone number and e-mail address of the authors. The font should be Times New Roman. Only the title should be in 14pt font, centered and in bold. The name and affiliations of all authors should be centered, but not in bold. The rest of the text should be in 12pt and the length of the paper should not exceed 10 pages. The paper should be submitted by 30 August, 2010.

Abstracts

You are invited to submit an abstract of not more than 250 words electronically to ptluc@vnseameo.org, using Microsoft Word. The abstract should carry the title of the paper, the name(s) of the author(s). The font should be Times New Roman, in 12pt.

Deadline for Proposals: July 15, 2010.

Presenters will be notified of acceptance by July 30, 2010.

Biographies

Biographies should be brief, not exceeding 100 words, and should be submitted electronically with the abstract to ptluc@vnseameo.org , using Microsoft Word. Biographies will be printed in the conference booklets.
