Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Traditional teaching methods at the post-secondary level are facing pressure due to increased student diversity, rapid technological advances, and changing expectations and knowledge about teaching and learning. This session will discuss\n the challenges in modern university classrooms, their causes, and potential adaptations to best meet learner needs.<\/p>\n

 Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) has served a key role in post-secondary education for over 100 years in dynamic Alberta, Canada, a province with a diverse and growing economy, and a focus on developing and attracting world\n class talent. This session will be informed by the experience at CUE.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Biographies:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Tim Loreman joined CUE in 2003 as a professor in the Faculty of Education. He is known around the world for his work in inclusive education and pedagogy, and holds a Diploma in Teaching from Monash University, Graduate Diploma\n in Special Education from Deakin University, Master of Education from Deakin University, and Doctor of Philosophy in Education Psychology from Monash University. Prior to being installed as CUE\u2019s eighth President and Vice-Chancellor,\n he served as Vice-President Academic and Provost. <\/p>\n

Under his leadership, CUE has grown into a place of spirit and discovery, offering students from around the world a boutique learning experience that prioritizes wellness, curiosity, and active citizenship.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
