Weather & Attire

In August, Ho Chi Minh City experiences hot, humid, and rainy conditions as it is the peak of the wet season. Daytime temperatures average around 31°C (88°F), with nighttime lows near 24–25°C (75–77°F). Humidity levels are high, averaging between 78% and 83%, contributing to a sticky and warm atmosphere.

Rainfall is frequent and heavy, with approximately 200–280 mm (8–11 inches) of precipitation over 18 to 27 days in the month. Showers often occur in the late afternoon and can be accompanied by thunderstorms.

All participants, speakers, and guests are requested to dress formally for the event. Due to the hot and humid weather, we recommend light, breathable fabrics (e.g. cotton or linen). Please bring a compact umbrella or light raincoat for possible rain, and wear comfortable, water-resistant shoes. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a light sweater or scarf for air-conditioned venues are also advisable.

Electricity Apply

The electricity supply in Vietnam is 220 Volts at 50 Hz. Plugs type A (two flat vertical pins), type C and type F (two round pins) fit most Vietnam electrical outlets.
