
A/Prof. Dr. Hoa Nguyen

Dr Hoa Nguyen (PhD, University of Queensland) is an Associate Professor in the School of Education, UNSW. Her research focuses on teacher education and development, mentoring, TESOL, and sociocultural theory. She co-leads the Teacher Education and Development Research Group and has previously held academic positions at the University of Sydney.
Dr Nguyen has received several prestigious awards, including the Endeavour Fellowship (Australian Government), the ATEA Research Recognition Award, and multiple supervision and mentoring awards from UNSW. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and chapters, three co-authored books, and three edited volumes.
Dr Nguyen serves as Associate Editor for The Asia Pacific Education Researcher, and sits on the editorial boards of Current Issues in Language Planning and Cambridge Elements: Critical Issues in Teacher Education. She has also held visiting positions at leading institutions including the University of Sydney, King’s College London, and the University of Oxford.
