International Conference 2023 on “A New Paradigm of Leadership and Management, Teaching and Learning in Higher Education: Global and Local Perspectives and Practices”

On July 13-14, 2023, SEAMEO RETRAC, in collaboration with British Columbia Council for International Education (BCCIE, Canada), organized the International Conference 2023 on “A New Paradigm of Leadership and Management, Teaching and Learning in Higher Education: Global and Local Perspectives and Practices” at the Center’s premises at 35 Le Thanh Ton Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

This Conference was conducted with the aim of creating a global platform for leaders, professionals, experts, researchers, and educational practitioners to update and exchange perspectives and information, explore innovative ideas, and share best practices related to leadership and management, teaching and learning in transnational higher education. Five crucial sub-themes which were discussed in the international conference included (1) Innovative leadership and management in higher education; (2) Quality assurance and accreditation practices and their impacts on higher education institutional development; (3) Innovation in teaching, research, and professional development; (4) Technology and artificial intelligence (AI) applications in teaching and learning; and (5) Global partnership and multidisciplinary collaboration. Two keynote speakers of the conference were Prof. Paul Dangerfield, President and Vice-Chancellor, Capilano University, Canada, and Dr. Deborah Saucier, President and Vice-Chancellor, Vancouver Island University, Canada.

Speakers of the International Conference 2023 included leaders, administrators, researchers, and educational practitioners coming from different universities, institutions of Australia, Slovenia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, India, Philippines, and Vietnam.
