Expert Meeting on “Tracking Mechanism for Unreached Populations”

SEAMEO RETRAC as assigned by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training hosted the Expert Meeting on December 15, 2014 at the Center’s premise. The meeting was the first stage of the Regional Project entitled “Tracking Mechanism for Unreached Populations”.


Training of Trainer (TOT) Program in Provinces of Hau Giang, Long An, Dak Nong, Vinh Long and Can Tho City

Implementing the plan of teacher training in 2014 of the National Foreign Languages Project 2020, SEAMEO RETRAC collaborated with Departments of Education and Training in Hau Giang, Long An, Dak Nong and Vinh Long provinces and Can Tho City to conduct professional training courses for more than 330 core teachers of English from early November to December 21 of the year 2014.


Training in English Language Proficiency and Educational Leadership and Management for IFEAD Staff (Lao PDR)

SEAMEO RETRAC successfully conducted the training course on English Language Proficiency and Educational Leadership and Management for staff of the Institute for Educational Administration Development (IFEAD), Lao PDR from November 24 to December 19, 2014.


Grant Proposal Writing Workshop

With the aim of providing knowledge and essential skills for developing a grant proposal to those who are currently involved in or will be involved in the project and grant development of universities, colleges and other educational institutions in the South of Vietnam, a series of grant proposal writing training workshops was conducted at SEAMEO RETRAC’s premises from October to December 2014.


The 37th SEAMEO High Officials Meeting (HOM)

The 37th SEAMEO High Officials Meeting (HOM) was convened at the Plaza Athénée Bangkok, Thailand from November 26-27, 2014 with the participation of more than a hundred and fifty education high officials and representatives from the 11 SEAMEO Member Countries, Associate and Affiliate Members, and other international organizations such as: Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan; Asian Development Bank (ADB); ASEAN Secretariat; ASEAN University Network (AUN); UNESCO Bangkok; China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE); UNICEF-East Asia Pacific Regional Office; etc.
