Educational Forum on “School Innovation for Future Teaching and Learning in the AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Digital Era: Best Practices in Southeast Asia”

On September 29, 2023, SEAMEO RETRAC is going to convene an educational forum on “School Innovation for Future Teaching and Learning in the AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Digital Era: Best Practices in Southeast Asia” from 13:30 to 17:00 (GMT +7 Vietnam Time).

The Forum, which is conducted back to back with SEAMEO RETRAC’s 26th Governing Board Meeting, will provide a professional platform for RETRAC Governing Board members who are policymakers, professional educators, educational leaders from SEAMEO Member Countries to share best practices and innovations that have been currently implemented or practiced to enhance educational quality, advance students’ participation and capabilities in education.

Four main sub-themes of the Forum include (1) Current practices and solutions to challenges in education in the AI (artificial intelligence) and digital technologies era; (2) Opportunities and challenges faced by schools and institutions in Southeast Asia with the emergence and expansion of AI use in education; (3) Critical solutions or strategies, best practices and initiatives that help to transform challenges into opportunities to promote innovative leadership, management, teaching and learning, including hybrid delivery of curriculum, speed up educational reforms and build resilient education systems; and (4) Policy changes regarding leadership, curriculum, assessment, pedagogy, and technology to ensure support for educational quality.

Speakers of the Forum are RETRAC’s Governing Board Members who are from the Ministries of Education or educational institutions in Southeast Asian countries. A country report which will be presented by each Governing Board Member will focus on introducing current practices and/or innovations in sustaining and enhancing the quality of education in his/her country.
