STEM-Focused EnglishWorks! Successful Field Trip Recap

To provide participants of the STEM-Focused EnglishWorks! training course with practical insights into STEM applications in real-world settings, SEAMEO RETRAC organized a field trip to Da Lat City on October 11-12, 2024. The trip included a visit to the Dalat Nuclear Research Institute, where attendees explored nuclear research, reactor operations, and daily applications of nuclear technology. A highlight was wearing yellow lab coats and measuring radiation exposure at the Nuclear Reactor Center.

The group also visited Yersin University, learning about its achievements and the legacy of Dr. Alexandre Yersin, whose groundbreaking bacteriological research inspires STEM professionals. Participants also toured an oolong tea factory in Bao Loc, observing the scientific and technological processes of tea production and connecting STEM knowledge to agriculture and industry.
