Participants of “Exploring America: 250 Years and Beyond” Visit MILWAUKEE Vietnam Factory
On June 16, 2026, university students from the “Exploring America: 250 Years and Beyond” training course visited one of Techtronic Industries (TTI) manufacturing facilities in Vietnam, the MILWAUKEE factory at Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP). This visit is part of the training program, which is organized by SEAMEO RETRAC with support from the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City to connect academic learning with real-world industrial practices.

AmCham Vietnam facilitated the event, uniting representatives from the American Center in Ho Chi Minh City, SEAMEO RETRAC, and the students. MILWAUKEE leadership warmly welcomed the delegation, delivering an inspiring and memorable educational experience.
The comprehensive tour introduced participants to the history, vision, and mission of the company, providing firsthand insights into advanced manufacturing operations. The robust agenda featured production line tours, presentations on technological innovation and quality assurance, and dynamic discussions regarding career opportunities. These activities empowered students to observe the direct application of engineering principles and management practices in a state-of-the-art industrial environment.
Primarily majoring in engineering and technology, the students gained vital practical exposure. By bridging academic concepts with practical applications, the visit underscored the relevance of their coursework to modern industry demands.
Furthermore, the experience highlighted key themes of the America250 initiative: innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, and community engagement. The immersive environment encouraged students to practice English in an authentic professional setting, expand their industry networks, and gain deeper insights into American contributions to technological advancement and economic development.
