SEAMEO RETRAC and IFEAD Forge Partnership for Capacity Building in Education

SEAMEO RETRAC and the Institute for Educational Administration Development (IFEAD), Lao PDR, celebrated a significant milestone in advancing educational leadership and management through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). Attending the ceremony were Dr. Lamphoune Luangxay, Deputy Director of IFEAD and SEAMEO RETRAC Governing Board Member from Lao PDR; Ms. Le Thi Thuy Duong, SEAMEO RETRAC’s Director; and senior managers of the Centre.

The MOA establishes a three-year collaboration (2024-2026) focused on overseas and in-country training, research, and information dissemination. It prioritizes educational leadership, management, and English language proficiency for IFEAD’s master trainers, school principals, and educational administrators. SEAMEO RETRAC will support non-degree training programs, assisting Lao educational institutions and government agencies in fostering project development, student and faculty exchanges, and other learning initiatives. This partnership aims to enhance the capacity of IFEAD’s staff, offering invaluable opportunities for professional growth to support educational excellence in the region.
