Training course on “Innovative Teaching Methodologies in Education”

On May 16-17, 2020, SEAMEO RETRAC organized a training course on “Innovative Teaching Methodologies in Education” for 44 lecturers and academic staff at University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long Branch. The course focused on two different topics, which are innovative teaching methodologies and ICT applications in teaching. While Day 1 aimed at equipping participants with knowledge of current innovative teaching approaches such as Project-based teaching and Inquiry-based teaching, Day 2 provided the participants with knowledge and skills of several cutting – edge tools and practice utilizing them in designing and developing virtual instructional materials, as well as assessing students’ performance.

After the two days in class training, participants continued joining the online training stage on the online platform of SEAMEO RETRAC within the following week. This phase played an important role in supporting participants in their learning process as participants can exchange information and ideas with others about the content taught during the two days in class.
