International Conference on “Responding to the 21st Century Demands for Educational Leadership and Management in Higher Education”

On June 28-29, 2012, SEAMEO RETRAC hosted its annual International Conference on “Responding to the 21st Century Demands for Educational Leadership and Management in Higher Education”.
The conference focused on a range of critically important issues addressing the demands, challenges, practices in educational leadership and management institutions in the world in the 21st century. Also, it served as a common collaborative platform for scholars and professionals to bring in and share new ideas, perspectives, as well as concepts in education and training. As many as 100 participants who are presidents, vice presidents, educators, researchers and practitioners from institutions in different parts of the world took part in the conference. A wide array of topics presented at the conference fell into three major subthemes: Governance Reform in Higher Education; Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education; and Educational Management and Leadership Skills for 21st Century Education.
