This workshop not only provides participants with ample opportunities to better understand the concept and principles of Global Citizenship Education (GCED), but also engages them in insightful discussions to share their experiences with other participants from different institutions, colleges and universities in Vietnam about how to contextualize and adopt GCED into their schools’ curriculum and related programs.

Four main topics introduced in each day of the workshop will include: Introduction of Global Citizenship Education; Contextualization of GCED in the Regional and National Context; Global Citizenship in Higher Education: Challenges and Strategies; and Innovative approaches and methodologies of GCED and Action Plan.

The target participants of the workshop include leaders, administrators (Deans and Vice-Deans), educators, and senior teaching staff from different higher education institutions who are working in the areas of GCED, sustainable development, community development and other related areas.

After the four-day face-to-face training course, the virtual forum will be conducted within three days for participants to have more opportunities to discuss issues related to the global educational citizenship and best practices at their institutional level as well as gain access to lectures, reading materials and assignments.
