Training Workshop on Designing Interactive e-Materials
SEAMEO RETRAC organized a training workshop on “Designing Interactive e-Materials” for teachers of English for universities/colleges on August 02, 2013. The objective of the training workshop was to infuse teachers with basic ICT skills for designing interactive lectures in their English teaching. Over 30 teachers of English participated in the training workshop.
Summer Fun 2013
After four weeks in operation, the Summer Fun 2013, co-organized by Queens College, City University of New York and SEAMEO RETRAC, concluded on July 26, 2013. SEAMEO RETRAC in collaboration with the Cambridge University Press organized a training workshop on “Teaching Methods for ‘Complete IELTS’ Series” on July 22, 2013 at the Center’s premises. The training workshop was facilitated by Mr. Stuart Vinnie, Senior Training Consultant, Cambridge University Press. The workshop drew the participation of about 25 teachers teaching IELTS program at the Center.

International Conference on Impacts of Globalization on Quality of Higher Education
SEAMEO RETRAC, June 20-21, 2013, in partnership with Hong Kong American Center (HKAC), hosted its annual International Conference on “Impacts of Globalization on Quality of Higher Education”. The purpose of the conference was to create a common collaborative platform for academicians and professionals to bring in and share new ideas, perspectives and concepts, and best practices in education and training.
SEAMEO RETRAC directs its efforts on educational issues by undertaking innovative, relevant programs through research, training, consultancy, and staff exchanges; fostering regional and international partnerships; and engaging in other related activities within and outside the region.
