Training course on “Gearing Up Responsible and Outstanding Teachers in Southeast Asia for the 21st Century (GURO21)”

On January 08-09, 2020, SEAMEO RETRAC, in collaboration with SEAMEO Regional Center for Educational Innovation and Technology (SEAMEO INNOTECH) in the Philippines, will organize a training course on “Gearing Up Responsible and Outstanding Teachers in Southeast Asia for the 21st Century (GURO21)” in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The target participants will include 30 lecturers, academic staff and teachers from different faculties in various educational institutions in Vietnam who are interested in becoming flexible learning tutors or online course facilitators. The participants will receive a scholarship grant for the tuition fee from SEAMEO RETRAC and SEAMEO INNOTECH. After the two days joining the face-to-face training of the course, participants will be involved in the online learning phase for approximately two months.

After finishing the whole course, the participants will not only be able to equip themselves with knowledge required of 21st century teachers, but also be provided with opportunities to develop and enhance facilitating skills on online learning courses.
